Flaming Idols are altar candles featuring inspiring figures of the LGBTQ community, created and handmade by Philadelphia artist and activist Robin Markle.

Grace has been a celebrated model and entertainer since the 1970s when she performed her disco anthems in gay clubs from NYC to Paris. In the 80's Grace collaborated with gay artist Keith Haring on striking body paint projects, including wearing Haring's paint in her music video for I’m Not Perfect. In 1979 Ebony captured her androgynous mystique by explaining, “Grace Jones is a question mark followed by an exclamation point.”

You might light this candle and look to Grace for inspiration and guidance in: Bold fashion choices, strength to deviate from societal conventions, belting your heart out.

Each unscented soy wax candle burns for approximately 10 hrs. Glass votives are 2.5" high and 2" wide at the base.
