Flaming Idols are altar candles featuring inspiring figures of the LGBTQ community, created and handmade by Philadelphia artist and activist Robin Markle.

SZA is a multi-genre singer-songwriter. Her music often explores themes of nostalgia, heartbreak, self-worth and sexuality, attracting LGBTQ fans. When asked what she would say to fellow “weird kids” in a 2024 interview, SZA said, “It’s very, very important to not give a fuck and keep being as weird as you can, so when you get out of that tiny space [that you come from], you have somewhere to rest yourself. You have a home that you built for yourself, and it might be wonky and crooked and super weird, but it will become a home.” You might light this candle and look to SZA for inspiration and guidance in: making art from your fears and anxieties, speaking up for the marginalized, embracing your weirdness

Candle is hand-poured with soy wax and burns for approximately 10 hrs. Glass votives are 2.5in high and 2in wide at the base.
