Flaming Idols are altar candles featuring inspiring figures of the LGBTQ community, created and handmade by Philadelphia artist and activist Robin Markle.

The Indigo Girls are a folk rock band comprised of Amy Ray and Emily Saliers. The band became lesbian icons in the late 1980s with hits like Closer to Fine and Galileo. Throughout their careers, Amy and Emily have used their platform to support many social justice issues, including LGBTQ rights and Indigenous environmental education.

You might light this candle and look to the Indigo Girls for inspiration and guidance in taking action for justice, cultivating life-long collaborations, and and using your art to support important causes.

The candle is hand-poured with unscented soy wax and burns for approximately 10 hours. Glass votives are 2.5in high and 2in wide at the base.
