Flaming Idols are altar candles featuring inspiring figures of the LGBTQ community, created and handmade by Philadelphia artist and activist Robin Markle.

Rosie O’Donnell is a comedian, actress, producer, and former daytime talk show host. While Rosie was not publicly identifying as a dyke until 2002, she first became a queer icon for her role as Doris in the 1992 women’s baseball drama A League of Their Own. Over her career, she combated bullying in the media and was an outspoken advocate and financial benefactor for children and the arts.

You might light this candle and look to Rosie for inspiration and guidance in standing up for yourself against a bully, fundraising for important causes, and not being afraid of conflict or controversy.

The candle is hand-poured with soy wax and burns for approximately 10 hours. Glass votives are 2.5in high and 2in wide at the base.
