Flaming Idols are altar candles featuring inspiring figures of the LGBTQ community, created and handmade by Philadelphia artist and activist Robin Markle. 
 
Susan Sarandon is a renowned bisexual actress and activist. She has starred in canonic queer films like Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Hunger, and Thelma & Louise. She was an early critic of the 2003 US invasion of Iraq, and in 2018 she was arrested in a sit-in against ICE family separations. She is an advocate for queer and trans people. She dated David Bowie! Talking with Oprah in 2015, she said, "I'm so excited by the fluidity of gender these days. I think once all those boxes are gone, it's going to be so much more interesting!"

Candle is hand-poured with soy wax and burns for approximately 10 hrs. Glass votives are 2.5in high and 2in wide at the base.
