In 1921, Bessie Coleman was the first woman of African American and Native American descent to receive an international pilot's license. She was famous for her inspiring talks given to only nonsegregated audiences and her daring air tricks, including the "loop the loop".

 

The notebook has a letterpress printed cover, printed in reflex blue ink with original illustration on light blue (French Paper) 100# recycled paper. It has a sewn stitched binding, opens flat, and measures approximately 4"x6.375", with 56 blank, recycled pages inside. Each has 2 rounded corners and is packaged in a clear cello sleeve.
