Flaming Idols are altar candles featuring inspiring figures of the LGBTQ community, created and handmade by Philadelphia artist and activist Robin Markle.

David Rose is a fictional character on the TV sitcom Schitt's Creek played by Dan Levy, who also co-created and wrote for the show. The character was unique in that David displayed a fluid sexuality -ultimately marrying his business partner Patrick- and rarely encountered homophobia. In a touching early scene, David's friend Stevie asks him about his sexuality using a wine metaphor: does David prefer red (men) or white (women)? David responds that he likes both, as well as rosé, and says ultimately, “I like the wine and not the label.”

You might light this candle and look to David for inspiration and guidance in: Setting boundaries with family members, Being an entrepreneur, Learning to trust a beloved.

Each unscented soy wax candle burns for approximately 10 hrs. Glass votives are 2.5" high and 2" wide at the base.
