What does our name mean? “VIX” (with a bar over the V) is the Roman numeral for 5009, our address on Baltimore Avenue. “Emporium” is just a fancy word for “variety store”. We have a wide variety of affordable handmade gifts, like jewelry, accessories, natural bodycare, paper goods, cards, ceramics, home wares, baby gifts, novelties and more. All are made by independent artisans and craftspeople from the Philadelphia area and beyond.
