Learn to balance plant life, light and water to create a self-contained ecosystem, and populate it with handmade whimsies like houses, mushrooms, bugs and gnomes that you paint yourself. The cost for the workshop and all the materials is $15, spaces are limited. Or just stop by to see what’s new in the Emporium’s ever-changing selection of local crafts and unique gifts. Later at Younglove’s (5011 Baltimore), catch “Psychotropic Mind” at 7pm, an opening of paintings by Robert Ryan and Daniel Albrigo, inspired by the world of tattooing as well as “fine art”. With live music by Ether Island and American Cloud Songs.
