Headphones with knitted sleeves by PunkRocKnits
I think the best way to describe my work would be freeform knitting design. I often knit as I feel lead, using knitting needles as my canvas and yarns as my paints.

I focus on using primarily sustainable and eco-friendly fibers – recycled sari silk, banana and bamboo yarns, and natural, unprocessed animal fibers. Lately my favorite materials to work with are sari ribbon, organic cotton, curly wools, and mohair.
I studied painting in college, however knew nothing about knitting until 2006 when I took a class at a local arts studio. I’ve been knitting fervently ever since. PunkRocKnits was born in 2009 when I decided to enter the craft show scene.

I’m inspired daily by the God-created landscape around me, especially cloud formations and the horizon line as the sun sets. I love color, texture, and sparkle, so you’ll find those elements make my style easily recognizable!
