We just got back from spending a fun-filled but hectic week with family in California, San Francisco in particular. The weather was so different from here, cooler and misty, hotter outside of the city but still dry. I actually got a little homesick for the humidity! The culture is very different in California, too, though hard to describe. It all reminds me of another East to West trip, although we didn’t make it to Bel Air…
Fresh prints have arrived! (groan.) Louella Press in Wayne produces these silkscreened tees, perfect for little ones causin’ trouble in our neighborhood. They also make lovely paper goods, like art prints and paper doll cards, on their three antique letterpress machines. We are so happy to welcome their work to our collection!
Here’s another locally made gift idea, perhaps for a new transplant from West to East, or vice versa:
A set of four laser-etched bamboo coasters, two for each coast. This tongue-in-cheek design by our friend Sharif Pendleton will protect your table from liquids, whether it’s “wooder ice” or Seattle’s Best coffee. His other designs, like the “emotions can be dangerous” series and the Phillies “ill” pendant can also be found here.
Check out these and many other new arrivals during your next trip to our little corner of the globe.
